The Weekend Crew
Flex for The Weekend, Join Crew!
Crew Members give their time over a weekend to make the Weekend an amazing experience for everyone involved! Whether they have been a part of the Crew before or not, they encounter a time in their life that likely becomes a “once in a lifetime” memory.
Being a Crew Member means having an impact on the lives of others and creating an amazing memory, not only for themselves, but for everyone involved! By becoming a part of the Crew, you will make a difference in the fight against women’s cancers OR cancer!
Crew can register as a team, and can be part of a team with Walkers as well. Crew is a two-day commitment and Crew Members are required to attend an All-Crew Meeting on the Friday before the event in preparation for the event.
Please note: You must be at least 16 years old to be a Crew Member.

|
Crew Captains
If you would like to be a leader of your Crew Team, we encourage you to be a Captain. This will increase your participation with your team and help you see through the efforts that your team makes on the event!
|
Friday Fun!
We have some specific teams who need to perform Crew duties on the Friday of the event. For those with flexible schedules, these are the teams for you!
|
|
Truck Drivers
The event would not survive without the many supplies we use. We need those interested in driving large trucks to volunteer to drive (with a buddy) and make the event a success!
|
Specialty Crew
Doctors, Nurses, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Podiatrists and more are needed to help ensure the physical safety and well being of the Participants on the event.

The Weekend Volunteer

Volunteers contribute their time, expertise, and skills to make The Weekend as great as it is for our Walkers. Some Volunteers help before the event by supporting Get In Step Sessions, speaking to people at outreach events, leading Training Walks and helping at The Weekend office. Others help on-event.
An army of dedicated Volunteers help us to produce an amazing experience for our Walkers. They greet you at Opening and Closing Ceremonies with gracious smiles, lend helping hands on the route and at Camp. The Weekend Volunteers are truly heroes before and during the event.
Volunteering is not only a great way to make a difference, it's a chance to change lives.
Register as a Volunteer today!
(There is no registration fee.)
Volunteer Opportunities
Throughout the year, there are many details that are taken care of behind the scenes by our staff and especially our Volunteers. This effort goes a long way to making The Weekend seemless. Check the details below and see what you can do as a Volunteer. Sign up and start your journey today.

Training Walk Leaders should have the flexibility to adjust routes and walks to fit a variety of participant fitness levels, a dynamic personality to enforce safety regulations, and the enthusiasm to make participants feel comfortable and successful on each Training Walk.

You will assist Walkers on their journey by helping out on event at Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Check back soon to find an Event Volunteer Flyer. Post these flyers around the neighbourhood to help us recruit more Volunteers to support our Walkers on the event!
