Donate to my 60-km journey and make the Weekend Of August 23 - 24, 2014 matter!

Pharmaprix(MD) Weekend to End Women's Cancers™ is a 2-day, 60-kilometre through the neighbourhoods of Montreal.

My Inspiration
This is not my first time participating in a walk to raise funds, but it is my first time to dedicate a walk to a loved one -- Merlyn Lugador Subido. She had passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in May 2013. Tita Merlyn may have only been in the beginning just my sister's godmother. However, when my father abruptly passed away when I was 18, Merlyn and her family were there for my mother, my 15-yr-old brother, my 6-yr-old sister, and me. It made the grieving process so much easier as we spent time together as one huge family.  I will be forever grateful for her compassion and love she showed towards my family and me.

Therefore, I will be challenging myself by doing the 60-kilometre walk in memory of a fabulous woman: mother, godmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, nurse, and friend.  It is the least I could do for her, and at the same time, for all the people I know who have been touched by cancer in some way.

May you please take the time to support me?  Every nickel counts. Every dollar I raise goes DIRECTLY to the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital to support their groundbreaking efforts in cancer research and care. Your generosity truly does make a difference.

This isn’t just my journey – it’s yours, too.
Make it a Weekend you’ll never forget.
