The Pharmaprix(MD) Weekend to End Women's Cancers is a 1-day, 32-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Montreal. This year will be my second in the Weekend Walk as I raise alongside my mother, Mary Colaciello (4th year walker).

The reason I participate in this walk is not simply because I like to walk, because to be honest, I loathe physical activity. The walk, rather, symbolizes something greater for me; it's an experience which enables me to see all the people that have been touched by cancer and hope to do something about it. We've all been touched by cancer in one way or another. Having heard about it touching a friend of a friend, or hearing an inspirational story about a fighter, or even having seen it first hand. No matter what the case might be, it always leaves a mark, and a hurtful one at that. I've had to witness some of the greatest women of my childhood get eaten away by this horrible disease, and although my part in this charity may not be massive, I won't stop trying to help or support the cause.

In the past, we've had excellent and devoted supporters. Charitable employees, friends, family and strangers have all joined together to raise funds for this event. This year, with your help, we hope to beat our previous amount of a little over 11,000$ and truly make a great contribution.

If you wish to join us in our cause or support us in some way, please, by all means, do so. Even if you are not in the financial position to make a contribution, please just spread the word. Thank you so much for your support and if you have any questions or wishes please feel free to ask.

P.S. 32-34km is like.... really long to walk.
