Hi there and welcome to our 2008 home page! We are the Bootcamp Babes and we are at it again!
The Bootcamp Babes are a group of girlfriends. We work out together with our coach and personal trainer, Rob Harris @ http://www.ottawabootcamp.com/. Rob has always encouraged us to set personal goals. And so in February 2007, we decided to register, raise money and walk 60 km for one great cause: to find a cure for Breast Cancer! With your support and generous donations, we raised over 41 THOUSAND dollars. The experience was so powerful, we reinstated our team and are planning to walk another 60km in June 2008.
Part of our task includes raising awareness. According to the National Cancer Institute of Canada, approximately 20,500 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year... tragically, about 5,400 will die from the disease.
You will certainly agree that one breast cancer diagnosis is one too many. Sadly, we have all witnessed, up close or from afar, the heart-wrenching pain caused by Breast Cancer. So please, please help us reach our fundraising objectives by donating to our team, and help us fight Breast Cancer.
