Back Again for Another Year
Our next big fundraiser is a turkey deep fry on Saturday May 31st, rain or shine. $20 gets you all the deep fried turkey, salad and home made fries you can eat. Contact me if you're interested in joining us.

I'm back again to walk the 60K in 2008 for the third time.
People have asked me why I continue to participate in this event every year. I'm one of a very few people who have not been personally touched by breast cancer. None of my family have been diagnosed with this disease. In fact, I don't personally know anyone who has diagnosed. My reasons for participating over the years have changed. This year, I do this simply because I can. Because there are so many people who need the help and cannot walk. Because there are so many people who would like to walk but can't. I do it for those people, because I can, and they can't. I do it so that my son will not have to lose a mother, sister, grandmother or aunt to this disease. I do it so that my daughter will not have to endure what so many have already been through.
I do this every year, just because I can.
Please support me or a member of my team with your donation, or by attending one of our fundraisers. Every dollar helps.
------------------------------------------------- Our big garage sale raised over $500 for Bandsters for Boobies. Extra special thanks to Kirstin Doull for all the time she donated to helping us.
The an all day "Scrap & Yap" on February 23rd raised $1350 for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Thanks so much to those that participated for making this event such a success. -------------------------------------------------
The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Ottawa, taking place June 6-8, 2008.
Proceeds benefit Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.
