We did it! Our team put in our utmost efforts as we walked in the Ottawa Weekend to End Women's Cancers on June 5-6, 2010. Some of our team walked one day (a very long, hot and humid day it was too) and four of us finished the 60 km in the rain on day two.

We extend sincere thanks to the 325 wonderful donors who helped our team members reach and exceed each of our individual fundraising goals. Thanks to your generosity, our team met and surpassed every goal we set over the past year. We thank all of you for your generosity.

Because of you, our team raised over $22,300!

Three-quarters of this sum will come directly back to Kemptville District Hospital to help equip a state-of-the art mammography suite in the new wing of the hospital.

This is part of the $100,000 pledge that the KDH Auxiliary has made toward the KDH mammography campaign. Improved access to breast cancer screening, close to home, will save lives. We are proud to be part of this important project.
