Weekend to find a Cure

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighborhoods of Toronto taking place September 5-7th, 2008. The proceeds will benefit Princess Margaret Hospital, funding important breast cancer research, education, services, and care.

This will be my sixth year participating in this event and it began as a tribute to the strength of my grandmother who was battling and eventually conquered breast cancer.

Sadly, she would lose her battle with lung cancer, and now I walk in loving memory of the light that went out on April 13th, 2007.

This year I am joined by my incredibly supportive boyfriend, my amazing mother, and whoever else we convince to tag along for the ride!

I am walking to honor all the women who have fought and continue to fight this disease. I am walking.. because I can.
