So he won't lose anyone to cancer.

Team tmlfans.ca - Encore!!

Thank you to all who supported me in the 2007 Weekend to End Breast Cancer. It was such a wonderful experience that I immediately registered for 2008!

I'm a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In honour of the best online hockey forum, I'm part of Team tmlfans.ca

**I am willing to change the team name in exchange for donations!**

I learned a lot from my first Weekend to End Breast Cancer, including how to walk 60km without getting any blisters or foot soreness.

The most important thing I learned regarding fundraising was to get started early. I know that people may be suffering from donation burnout right now, and I understand that. However, I do ask that once you're back in the giving mood, please make a donation to my 2008 walk.

One of the many doantion options is planned giving; you can donate monthly. That's right, you have a charge on your credit card every month until the walk. That monthly donation of $5,10, 25 or more will add up over 11 months, and it won't cost any more than a meal out once a month!

Please support us! Donations accepted from supporters of all teams, or even the heathens who don't like hockey!

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto.

Proceeds benefit Princess Margaret Hospital, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.

More Determined Than Ever!
This February I made one of my dreams come true. I finally went back to school for sports media; it has exceeded all my expectations. Even though writing about hockey is my dream job, my eyes have been opened to so many career options.
Some dreams have not yet materialised; people get cancer daily. I know the money I raise in my walk won't cure it overnight, but I'm determined to do my small part.
Even with being a full-time student, having my job, and my family I had to make time for this walk. Some days I tell myself I've taken on too much but as Friedrich Nietzsche wrote:
"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
