Once is not enough
Walking the 60 Kilometre walk in 2007 was the most rewarding experience of my life. I was able to truly understand the meaning behind "it is in the giving that we receive." I am looking forward to the aches, pains. sweating and blisters in 2008 as I embark upon this walk for the second time. When sponsoring me please keep in mind who I am walking for.
I am walking for our mothers, our friends, our sisters, our daughters, our grandmothers, our collegues at work, our neighbours and all of the 1/9 women that will be diagnosed with the deadly disease.
I am walking in gratitude. I am walking in appreciation. I am walking in retribution. I am walking because it is the rent I owe for being on this planet and being able to walk when others can't. I can make a difference and I will.
Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto.
