Last November I was attending a staff appreciation dance at the Village of Wentworth Heights. At the party they showed a video of the 'Weekend to End Breast Cancer' I was so inspired by the woman who were true survivors. I decided that night that I was going to make a plan to change my life. January 7, I quit smoking and joined the Running Room. I was so afraid to run that I didn't even think about the smoking. I am registered with the Oakwood Retirement Communities Team to walk in the 60k Weekend and to raise $2000 for the Princess Margaret Hospital. I am walking because I can and in helping other women I am helping myself. I am grateful that my daughter Colleen and daughter-in-law Debbie also decided to join me. I am truly blessed to have the love and support of a wonderful family and together we will make a difference.
