We did our breast to make a difference!

Wow…what a weekend. After months of training, I embarked on a 2 day 60km journey with my team “Breast Ov The Beach”. 3 out of the 6 of us were breast cancer survivors. Our team represented all younger women who will and have faced cancers such as breast and other gynecological cancers. I was walking for myself and also my friend and business partner Wendy who fought ovarian cancer this past year.

We joined 4600 other walkers. We heard amazing stories of strength and survival. We hugged and offered encouragement to those walkers that were still being treated. At the finish line, all the survivors paraded in with their arms held high in victory. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Our group will walk again and continue to do whatever we can to make a difference.
