I BELIEVE THERE ARE ANGELS AMONG US

As I begin my fifth year as a walker, I can't help but think of the lyrics to the song by the band Alabama.


I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us
From heaven up above
They come to you and me
In our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love.


I am truly humbled by this entire experience.
I am forever indebted to those incredible people, some who I know, most of whom I don't, who unhesitatingly support every step of this amazing journey. Breast Cancer has touched many friends and loved ones. My mother Anita is a Survivor (Yay Mom!). So I walk.


And I know there must be angels. And that they are everywhere.


In lives lost, in lives saved. In research labs and hospitals, doctors and nurses. In volunteers, coaches, supporters. In walkers and team-mates. In the faces of friends and strangers.


And so I walk. Surrounded by angels.
