I walk again, in memory of Jackie
Jackie would have been 42 years old, April 8th, 2010.
My sister, Jacqueline Pearl Kirsh, lost her battle to Breast Cancer in 1998 while she was in New York getting treatment not yet offered in Canada. Because she loved New York so much, we spread her ashes in Central Park. She was only 30 years old.
One special way that I have been keeping Jacqueline’s memory alive over the years is to participate in “The Weekend to End Breast Cancer” , now known as "The Weekend to End All Women's Cancers". Jacqueline would have been able to get the treatment she needed here in Canada today, thanks to fundraising efforts such as these.
I will be walking again with thousands of men and women in the two day 60 kilometer event this September, 11th - 12th 2010.
Everyone has their reasons for helping to find the cure for Breast Cancer, and for obvious reasons I am doing this in memory and in honour of my sister, Jacqueline.
Please take a moment to make your donation. With your help, we will together be moving forward to find the cure that killed my sister, and so many others. There are still so many fighting this battle with Breast Cancer.
Thank you so much for your donation. Your continued support has been overwhelming over the years, and now. Because of you, we WILL find a cure!
Warmest Regards, Stefi
