TEN YEARS STRONG!!!
The Weekend to End Women's Cancers is a two-day, 60-kilometre or one-day 30 kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto. It is one of Canada's most successful annual fundraising events and this year we are "TEN YEARS STRONG!".
Proceeds benefit The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, one of the world's Top 5 Cancer Centres. The funds will help move the new strategies in Personalized Cancer Medicine forward. I will be directing my funds raised to support the One Day Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Centre.
This will be my 10th year walking in an event that has been life altering for me. I started working at PMHF because of my personal experience with my mother, Mrs. Pat Alofs, who died of breast cancer Nov. 2nd, 2002. I started walking for the same reason. Now, I walk to help conquer ALL WOMEN'S CANCERS. The people who walk, volunteer, cheer us on, donate and sponsor are just the finest people on the face of the earth. I am writing a book titled "Passion Capital" and the walkers, crew and staff who support this walk are all PASSION CAPITALISTS to me!
Please help by making a donation today....or walk....or volunteer. Get involved and step up, step forward and step out. From all walks of life, we walk, because we can't walk away. The weekend will change lives, possibly starting with your own! One day or two, walker or volunteer. THIS IS OUR TENTH YEAR OF THE WALK. Invest your Passion Capital and "walk the walk".
See you in September and thanks for showing you want to conquer all women's cancers in our lifetime!
