Support My Journey To End Women's Cancers
Hello donors...considering I have exceeded my goal, please consider either donating to one of my sisters as they stuggle to raise the money each year or hold off on your donation until next year. THANK YOU very much.
Well, here's to year 6...I started this walk in 2007 in support of my sister, Kelly, a breast cancer survivor. Kelly is cancer free now and doing great.
I will be walking with two of my sisters (Kelly and Kim) and our good buddy, Mo....also known to me as...the tall guy who takes big steps....so needless to say, I cannot keep up to Mo unless I jog and that is not going to happen for 32 kms! My sister Karen and niece Kendall, will be driving throughout the weekend keeping us well supplied...band-aids, water and all the fun stuff you need to keep walking for 32 kms on hot pavement in downtown Toronto.
Once again, my entire family will be involved in the walk in some way or another, including my son, Logan (10), my nephew Evan (13 - Kelly's son) and teenage niece Kendall (15 - Karen's daughter). Evan and Logan really look forward to the weekend and seeing thousands of people cheering everyone on in downtown Toronto. The kids will walk the last 5 kilometres with us. Evan started this ritual 4 years ago and now cannot just stand and watch on the sidelines!
So, why do I keep doing this walk and asking you for support? Because cancer continues to be very prevalent in our society and I truly hope that we end cancer in our lifetime.
So, I would kindly ask for your support and give to this very important cause. Proceeds benefit the Princess Margaret Hospital, funding important cancer research, education, services and care.
Thank you so much! Any support will be much appreciated!
Sincerely,
Cori
