It was an amazing year last year, thanks to you and my Corporate sponsors.
This year, I am walking for The Weekend to End Women's Cancers for the sixth consecutive year. I know that my active participation along with tens of thousands of other dedicated individuals will benefit the much-needed research in this area. There is someone you know - a family member or a friend - who has been diagnosed with cancer and funding this research helps us get closer to a cure, as well as give hope to humanity, and gain awareness for our future generations.
Since it began in 2003, The Weekend has raised over $110 million for The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, and YOU played a key role in that accomplishment. But as momentous as that is, it will take continued effort and dedication to truly make Breast and Gynecological cancers a thing of the past. And that's why I'm walking again this year!
And once again, I am asking for your continued support.
My team consists of three sisters and myself. One of the sisters is a breast cancer survivor so there is a vested interest in this cause. Over the last five years, we have raised over $115,000 for this charity. We are very proud of that concerted effort but also realize that it requires constant dedication year after year.
If you would like to memorialize a lost loved one, create a better future for the next generation, or for other personal reasons close to the heart, please make a donation on my behalf to this much worthy cause.
Like last year, I would like to invite you or your company to become a corporate sponsor. Your company's logo will be on my shirt for the entire weekend as I walk through the Toronto neighborhoods.
