Be a Part of My Journey, Join My Circle For Hope!
I am very excited to be joining the Cosmic Girls this year as they participate in the 10th anniversary of this very special event.
My daughter Rhonda, and her childhood friend Karen, formed this team in 2003, the very first year of the walk. I have always been there to support and help the team on their many fundraising events and to cheer them on during the weekend of the walk.
This year I have decided to go that extra mile and actually walk with the team. Over the years I have seen many participants struggle to finish the walk so I know that this will not be an easy task for me. However, I am committed to walking every step of the 60km.
It amazes me how Rhonda & Karen face this event year after year with such enthusiasm. They are two very caring & committed women who are very serious about finding a cure for cancer. I am very proud to be walking with them.
Shoppers Drug MartŪ Weekend to End Women's Cancers? is a two-day, 60-kilometre or one-day 32-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto. It will be a challenge and I am ready to take on this effort to end ALL women's cancers!
My commitment is based on love and my realization that we each need to do our part in this fight. I can walk. I can raise funds to benefit The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, a leader in the fight against all women's cancers. I can and choose to be a part of this movement to save lives.
I ask you to please be a part of my very personal journey - by giving, by walking with me, or simply by sharing my story with your circle of influence.
