Well I've done this 60 km 2-day walk now for two years in a row and together with my team of eight women, we've raised over $50,000.

Here are some facts you might want to know:
- Many thanks to my previous donors, I raised $3,606 this year.
- My team of 8 walkers raised over $27,000 this year.
- There were 2012 walkers and together, we raised over $5.1 million.
- 3 years ago, the BC Cancer Agency allocated $200,000 a year toward Breast Cancer research.
- Since The Weekend to End Breast Cancer started, it has collected over $10,000,000 in the past 3 years toward Breast Cancer research and care in BC. This money has made significant advances in local research, care and treatment - including drawing top notch International researchers and new technology.

While walking this year, we met a woman who has walked this 4 times. 4 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and beat it. Now her daughters are twice as likely to get it because she had it. She is doing all she can so there will be a cure and they never have to face it. I walk for her, all the survivors (many whom we saw and shared the walk with this weekend) and to those who died from it, including my friend Adina.


I really thought this would be my last year doing this walk. But, as long as there are women walking beside me who are fighting this cause and fighting their own disease, it seems I am inspired to keep on walking and making a difference.
