Support My Journey

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto. Proceeds benefit Princess Margaret Hospital, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.

I was touched by cancer when my boyfriend lost his mother to breast cancer that spread and eventually took over her body. This painful experience is one I will never forget, and it has re-inforced for me the importance of family and friends. She was an amazing woman and is greatly missed. I personally will walk in her honor.

It was two days following the 2006 walk that I overheard a man say these words: "Every year that I am able, I will participate in that walk. It changed my life." That day I decided to join the walk for 2007.

Thanks to my team (Save 2nd Base!) for all your support. When I walk next fall I will think of each and every one of our supporters, and hope that our Mothers, sisters, daughters and friends will have a better chance if they have to fight the battle against breast cancer.
