Shoppers Drug MartŪ Weekend to End Women's Cancers is a two-day, 60-kilometre or one-day 32-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Calgary. It will be a challenge and we are ready to take on this endeavour to find a cure to breast and gynecologic cancers!

Our commitment is based on love and the realization that we each need to do our part in this fight. As a team, we will walk. We will raise funds to benefit the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a leader in the fight against all women's cancers. We will be a part of this movement to save lives.

We ask you to join our Circle For Hope. Be a part of our very personal journey - by giving, by walking with us, or simply by sharing our story with your circle of influence.

This is our journey.
This is our Weekend Circle For Hope.

My Reason for taking part in this amazing event is that I am able to honor my mother in law in a way that will help and support so many women who have faced her struggles. On July 30, 2010 we lost my mother in law much too young. She was diagnosed with Cervical cancer and went through many rounds of chemo and radiation. She lived accross the world in Ghana and therefor we were limited in the ways that we were able to help out and provide support. We did all that we could and through all of it she stayed so very strong. I wanted to do something to honor her in a way that would make a real difference and in a way that my children could look up to and learn that they too can do things to make a difference as they grow. Michelle one of my closet friends is taking the time to help me by encouragment and walking by my side for every 60 km of this walk. I am sure that Cancer is something that has touched almost all of us in someway through out our lives and I hope that you can open your heart and help donate to such an amazing cause. As we are training for this walk not only are we raising money for a great cause we are also trying to show the impotance of an active and healthy lifestyle which has recently become very importanat to myself and another great lesson that we want to pass on to our children. Please take a moment and help support us in this amazing event... Please stay tuned for fund raising activities as well.
