The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Toronto.

Most of you know by now that I have signed myself up to take on this great challenge! Little did I know when signing up that I would be tested once again both mentally and physically. Since signing up, I was diagnosed and have been battling Hodgkins Disease. I have been given even more of a reason to complete this walk.

I understand now the great importance of research and what it does for all types of cancer. If it weren't for the great leaps and bounds made within breast cancer research, I'm sure my scenario would look a lot different. It is for this that I am thankful and hopeful.

Cancer has touched my family and friends in more ways than one. I am a firm believer in hope and keeping a positive mind. JR, SGC, SC, DP, DS, RG, this walk is especially for you. Keep your hope alive!

Remember, Breast cancer research is a stepping stone for other cancer research and this will truly benefit us all, but it starts with you! Please support my journey to the finish line!

Proceeds benefit Princess Margaret Hospital, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.
